Beckett card grading: bookings coming soon
Beckett (BGS) is known for grading each card in four separate subgrades. Here is how it works, and how we can help you today with pre-grading at our TCG store in Barcelona.
How Beckett grades
Four subgrades
Centering, corners, edges and surface are scored separately, and the overall grade is derived from them.
Black Label
A Pristine 10 with a 10 in all four subgrades receives the Black Label, introduced in 2014.
Gold Label Pristine 10
An overall Pristine 10 whose subgrades do not all reach 10.
Gaming cards
Beckett grades trading card games such as Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh!, as well as sports cards.
What Beckett grades
Beckett grades sports cards, non-sports cards and trading card games, with separate services for vintage cards.

Pre-grade your cards
7 € per card. We measure each card and tell you whether it is worth sending to Beckett or to another company.
Pre-grading →Need a grade now?
We already work officially with Next Grading Universe, with hand delivery to the lab and back.
Next Grading Universe →Only need protection?
Sometimes a card only needs a sealed case. Casing without a grade is often the simplest option.

Can I grade with Beckett through Universe TCG?
Not yet. Bookings for Beckett are coming soon. Today you can pre-grade your cards with us to know which ones are worth sending and to which company.
What is a BGS Black Label?
A Pristine 10 in which all four subgrades (centering, corners, edges and surface) are 10.
Why do subgrades matter?
They show where a card loses points, which helps buyers and helps you decide whether to send a card again.
