Pre-grading: know if your card is worth grading
Before you pay for grading, our pre-grader measures each card with professional equipment and tells you, recorded on video, whether it is worth grading and which service fits it best.
What we check
- Centering, front and back.
- Corners: whitening, rounding and dents.
- Edges: chips and wear.
- Surface: scratches, print lines and marks.
How it works
- Choose where: our Barcelona store or remote (you send us the cards).
- Choose when: a date set by us is free; if you pick the date, there is a flat 20 € call-out fee in store or the 15 € remote handling fee.
- Add the number of cards (7 € each), accept the conditions and book. Appointments start on 1 November 2026.
A visit anywhere other than our Barcelona store is a VIP service, quoted on request. Pre-grading is independent from grading: you can book either one on its own.
Made-to-order service · non-refundable
Pre-grading is prepared at your request for an agreed date, and the call-out fee is paid to a third party, the pre-grader. Once the appointment is confirmed, the per-card fee and the call-out fee are not refundable.
Frequently asked questions
Is pre-grading a guarantee of the final grade?
No. It is an expert, measured estimate. The official grade is issued only by Next Grading.
Do I have to pre-grade before grading?
No. Pre-grading and grading are independent services; pre-grading helps you decide which cards are worth it.
Can the pre-grader come to my home or event?
Yes, as a VIP service quoted on request. The standard prices only cover appointments at our Barcelona store or remote pre-grading.
When can I book?
Bookings are open now. Appointments start on 1 November 2026.
