Naruto Card Game (Bandai): Summer 2027, or Earlier?

When does Bandai's Naruto Card Game actually launch? Officially, the answer is Summer 2027, but collectors are already asking whether the game could land earlier, and February 2027 keeps coming up in speculation. At Universe TCG, Spain's specialist TCG store shipping across the EU, we keep two separate hubs for the two Naruto card games arriving in 2027, so this article is strictly about the Bandai Naruto Card Game. It is not about Naruto Mythos (more on that below).

What Is Officially Confirmed

  • Announcement: Bandai revealed the Naruto Card Game in June 2026 as a brand-new trading card game based on Masashi Kishimoto's series. See Bandai's official press release.
  • Launch window: a simultaneous worldwide release in Summer 2027, confirmed in the July 2026 update. No exact date has been announced.
  • World debut: Gen Con 2026, with a worldwide hands-on tour continuing through the autumn.
  • Gameplay: a 51-card deck built around a Leader, with Leader, Character, Chakra, EX Character and Summon cards. Full breakdown in our first look at the rules and card reveals.

The February 2027 Question

Some fans are floating February 2027 as a possible early start. We want to be clear about the status of that idea: it is speculation. We have not found an official statement or a credible primary source supporting it, and Bandai's own wording remains Summer 2027. We are covering it because you will see the date repeated online and deserve to know where it stands.

Why does the idea have legs? Mostly because of the calendar. The Bandai Card Games Fest tour runs in 11 cities from October, and there are big public stops ahead: New York Comic Con (8 to 11 October, where a "NARUTO: What's Next?" panel is scheduled), Spiel Essen and Paris Games Week (22 to 25 October) and Lucca Comics & Games (28 October to 1 November). A busy reveal schedule invites guesses about when product will follow, but a demo tour is not a release date.

What Would Change Our Mind

We will treat an early launch as real only if Bandai announces it. The signals to watch are an official release date, a suggested retail price, a pre-order window and a confirmed starter deck and booster lineup. Until then, plan around Summer 2027 and treat anything earlier as a bonus.
