Bandai Officially Announces the New Naruto Card Game!
The rumors and community suspicions have finally been confirmed. On June 18, 2026, Bandai Card Games made the announcement that all anime trading card game fans were waiting for: a brand-new Naruto Trading Card Game (TCG) is on the way.
What Do We Know About the New Naruto TCG?
This new title by Bandai is set for a global release in 2027 and has been described as a "strategy-focused game" designed specifically for the competitive TCG community. The days of speculation are over; Bandai is bringing the full weight of its experience following the massive success of games like the One Piece Card Game and Dragon Ball Super Fusion World.
- Global Release: 2027
- More Details Revealed: July 29, 2026
- Public Debut (Demos): Gen Con 2026 (July 30 – August 2)
Naruto's creator, Masashi Kishimoto, also shared a commemorative illustration and a message expressing his excitement for this new project, which predicts tremendous support from the highest levels of the franchise.
Is This the End for Naruto Mythos?
Recently, we saw the launch of Naruto Mythos in Europe by the Italian company Cicaboom. While it stood out for its incredible 22-karat gold foil "Legendary" cards, its mission-based system is very different from what a hardcore competitive TCG player looks for.
With Bandai officially entering the arena with a game designed for the global competitive environment, the future of parallel products like Naruto Mythos remains uncertain. While collectors might still seek out the rare Mythos cards for their aesthetic value, it is almost certain that the competitive and tournament ecosystem will be absolutely and indisputably dominated by Bandai's new official game.
