Pokémon NAIC 2026 Recap: Best Decks, VGC Results, and More

The Pokémon NAIC 2026 Concludes: Epic Battles in New Orleans

From June 12-14, 2026, New Orleans hosted the most anticipated event in North America: the 2026 Pokémon North America International Championships (NAIC). The best players in the world gathered to compete for a spot in the World Championships and international glory in TCG, VGC, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon UNITE.

VGC (Video Game) Results

The competition in the Masters Division for VGC was brutal, utilizing the most current competitive format on the Pokémon Champions platform. The top 8 was filled with world-class talent:

• 1st Place: Francesco Pio Pero (Italy)
• 2nd Place: Eric Rios (Spain)
• 3rd Place: Wolfe Glick (USA)
• 4th Place: Shoma Honami (Japan)

It was incredible to see Francesco Pio Pero take the championship against the talented Spanish player Eric Rios, with legends like Wolfe Glick close on their heels.

The TCG Metagame

In the Trading Card Game (TCG), NAIC always defines which decks are the absolute kings of the format before the World Championships. Players brought highly polished strategies, where dominant archetypes based on the latest expansions faced off against "rogue decks" designed specifically to counter the meta.

If you are looking to build the winning decks from NAIC, sites like Limitless TCG are already compiling the exact card lists used by the champions. And remember, at Universe TCG you can find the booster packs and single cards to build that champion deck!

Pokémon GO and UNITE: Pure Spectacle

The competitive circuit for Pokémon GO continues to grow with 6v6 formats that kept viewers on the edge of their seats thanks to incredible predictions and split-second switches. On the other hand, in Pokémon UNITE, the best 5-player teams demonstrated perfect coordination and flawless rotations to secure key objectives throughout the matches.

With NAIC concluded, all eyes are now on the World Championships. Are you ready to compete locally? Check our events calendar at Universe TCG and join our community.
