Digimon Card Game: Every Set Guide, Starter Decks & Where to Buy (2026)

Every Digimon Card Game Set, Explained

The Digimon Card Game (DCG), published by Bandai, has grown into one of the deepest anime TCGs on the market since its 2020 relaunch. With over 25 main Booster sets, a dozen Extra Booster expansions, and 24+ Starter Decks, it can be tough to know where to start -- or what's currently worth picking up.

This guide breaks down the full sealed product lineup, from the brand-new Timeless Bonds [BT26] through the foundational Release Special boosters, plus how Booster Packs, Booster Boxes, and Booster Box Cases differ.

Main Booster (BT) Sets

Main Booster sets are the backbone of the competitive format, releasing roughly every 8-10 weeks. Each Booster Box contains 24 packs of 12 cards. Recent and upcoming highlights include:

• Timeless Bonds [BT26] -- the newest expansion
• Dual Revolution [BT25]
• Time Stranger [BT24]
• Hackers' Slumber [BT23]
• Cyber Eden [BT22]

Extra & Theme Boosters (EX)

Extra Boosters focus on a specific mechanic, tamer line, or crossover theme rather than the full meta. The newest entry, Digital World Shambala [EX-12], joins a strong lineup including Dawn of Liberator [EX-11] and Sinister Order [EX-10].

Starter Decks: The Best Way to Start Playing

Each Starter Deck is a 50-card, ready-to-play deck built around a specific Digimon line -- perfect for new players or anyone wanting a fast, affordable entry into a new colour pair. The newest releases are Digimon Data Squad [ST-24] and Digimon Beatbreak [ST-23].
