Each automaton can be equipped with a pair of claw-like shock charges or circular power blades, plus a choice of in-built bolters, flamers and shoulder-mounted heavy weapons, so builders can decide how to arm their constructs before assembly. Standing three times the height of a man, they combine an armoured endoskeleton with atomantic shielding technology, and serve with both the Legio Cybernetica and the elite defensive formations of forge worlds; here they are fielded as part of the Mechanicum Taghmata.

Each Castellax can be built with a pair of claw-like shock charges, with their claws posed gripped shut or open, or with circular power blades instead, and either weapon arm can carry an in-built bolter or flamer. Shoulder-mounted options include two mauler bolt cannons, a darkfire cannon and a multi-melta, and three different arm joints plus waist and shoulder joints allow for a range of poses across the two models.

Specifications

Product type: Miniature kit

Game system: The Horus Heresy

Faction: Mechanicum Taghmata

Material: Plastic

Brand: Games Workshop

Country of origin: United Kingdom

Language: English

EAN: 5011921218745

SKU: 5011921218745

Weight: 200 g

Questions buyers ask

How many Castellax Battle-automata does this kit build?

This multipart plastic kit builds two Castellax Battle-automata.

What weapon options are included?

Each automaton can take a pair of claw-like shock charges or circular power blades, with an in-built bolter or flamer on either weapon arm, plus a choice of shoulder-mounted weapons: two mauler bolt cannons, a darkfire cannon and a multi-melta.

Do I need to buy paint and glue separately?

The miniatures are supplied unpainted and need assembly.
